I’m Laurin Paradise, recipient of an MLIS degree from Pratt Institute. My information studies interests include archives management, and the possibilities that our modern age affords for institutional outreach and for wide breadths of previously impossible scholarship through digital collections and linked open data. I’ve gained experience during my master’s degree program in a wide variety of information science duties, from processing archival collections, to assisting a professor in processing and transcribing data for her research, to providing reference work at a historical society and library, to working the reference and circulation desk at my institute’s library. I’m always eager to learn new skills and troubleshoot to tackle a problem. Outside of academic and professional realms, I’d also like to add that I’m a huge history nerd, and adore comic books, noir mysteries, and science fiction.
